Hey {{first_name}}

If you’ve ever tried a bunch of sensory strategies like movement breaks, deep pressure, fidgets and felt like nothing really works, you’re not alone!

Most parents are trying their best, but they’re working from a place of guessing… Guessing what will calm their child, what will help them focus, what their child needs in the moment. And the truth is? Guessing is exhausting and it rarely leads to consistency or improvement.

Why guessing doesn’t work

Here’s the part most parents aren’t told: Two kids can look like they’re doing the exact same thing… but have different sensory needs.

Let me show you what I mean: Meet Liam & Anna:

Both are 7 years old and are constantly on the move, running around, pacing around the room. To the outside world, they look the same: “They’re hyper!” But here’s what’s actually happening underneath:

Liam (Sensory Seeking)

Liam’s body is under-stimulated. His nervous system craves movement and heavy work to feel regulated. If you give Liam deep pressure or structured movement, he becomes calmer, more focused, more regulated.

Anna (Sensory Sensitive)

Anna’s nervous system is over-stimulated and she’s reacting to her environment. The bright lights, constant chatter, unpredictable transitions, visual clutter and noise are overwhelming. Her nervous system feels flooded so she moves, runs or paces to cope, as a way to escape overwhelm.

If you give Anna the same intense activities you’d give Liam, you wouldn’t be addressing her overwhelm and you’d continue seeing these behaviors.

Same behavior. Two completely different needs.

This is why generic sensory lists don’t always work. This is why “just give them movement!” won’t solve all your problems. This is why you feel like you’re trying everything but nothing sticks. Because what your child needs depends on their specific sensory profile, and without clarity, you’re forced to guess.

🌈 Why I created the Sensory Guide

I wanted parents to have clarity, not trial-and-error overwhelm. I’m not saying that there will be NO trial-and-error, but at least you’ll be more guided and confident in the regulation tools you’re choosing to implement.

That’s why I’m introducing:

The Sensory Guide (waitlist now open!)

Inside, you’ll find:

  • a sensory quiz to identify your child’s unique profile

  • 100+ sensory activity cards with step-by-step instructions

  • accommodations for sensory-sensitive kids

  • customized activity suggestions based on your child’s sensory needs and preferences

This removes the guesswork so you can support your child with confidence and ease.

🍽️ Bonus: Picky Eating Tip: Food Chaining in Action

Most parents treat picky eating like guessing by offering random foods and hoping something sticks.

Instead, try Food Chaining:
Start with a food your child already eats and create a bridge to something slightly different.

Example:
If your child loves plain buttered pasta…
➡️ Next step: same pasta shape + a sprinkle of parmesan
➡️ Next step: same pasta shape + tiny amount of sauce mixed into one bite or have it next to them to dip into
➡️ Next step: switch to a similar pasta shape with the same flavor profile

Small, predictable shifts help their nervous system feel safe enough to explore. And if they refuse to try this new step, KEEP OFFERING IT!! Consistency and exposure is key!!!
